Therapy Dogs
Training Therapy Dog Teams for Health Assistance

Overview
The team is a non-profit dedicated to training therapy dog organisation. The primary aim is to develop human-canine therapy teams to assist individuals in therapeutic settings. They offer courses designed to equip both you and your dog with the necessary skills for animal-assisted therapy, aiming to aid individuals recovering from various health issues, including heart disease, cancer, and mental health conditions.
Background

Why therapy dogs so helpful
In 2021 Dog Therapy Statistics revealed significant improvements in pain levels and irritation among children with leukaemia after therapy with dogs. A study involving 24 children aged 6-12 showed decreased pain, anxiety, stress, and irritation. Dog therapy in school classrooms reduces stress and fosters a positive atmosphere, benefiting teenagers with mental health issues. A 2019 study found that there's increases in social engagement and personal behaviours, and reduced mental health disorders.
